Home

I can't even tell you what a wonderful feeling it is to have mom and dad HOME finally. As of this past Sunday, I now live in within 10 miles of my parents for the first time since I got married. It's awesome. Tonight Mom went to dinner with me and the boys and then we went to their house to visit. For TWO HOURS I sat in the living room with my dad just chatting. Mom came in and out, but mostly it was just me and my dad...just talking...for TWO HOURS! It was very very nice. We talked about his pool league, my bowling, his retirement, the loud and crazy birds, the boys...just STUFF. All the while the boys were outside roaming 40 acres of little boy heaven. They came home filthy and happy as they marched to the shower. It's nice to all be together again.

Lover's Dreams

He was sitting beside me one Friday night when suddenly he said with a sigh,
"Let's go for a walk, down by the lake, underneath the dark night sky.
The stars are out. It's a beautiful night. Come on! Come on! You'll see.
You're beautiful, my darling, and I hope and pray that you'll always belong to me.
I want you with me throughout my life, no matter how much we fight.
Cause I know we'll always work things out and love again, am I right?"
Then I responded, "Well, yes, of course. I want you with me, too.
But what if we do part, my darling? Then what in the world would we do?"
He said to me then, with such great confidence and pride,
"You're all mine darling. We'll never ever part. And that's how I feel inside."
I then lovingly replied back to him so very soft and low,
"I love you, darling, real true love, and I'll never let you go.
You were right, the sky IS beautiful, with the stars so bright and clear.
Hey look! Did you see that? A falling star! How dear!
Make a wish, whatever you want. People say it will come true.
Falling stars are very lucky. I'm so gald I've got you."
Then, all of a sudden, I was in my bed, awakened by my clock.
"Wow! What a dream! It seemed so real!" I exclaimed as I stared at the dock.
Then the telephone rang and my sweetheart said, "I want you to hear what I dreamed.
Let's go for a walk, down by the lake, and I'll tell you how real it seemed."
