Carter

Oh my gosh, Carter did the funniest thing tonight. I hope it comes across as funny in text as it did in person. Carter is Mr. Drama. He overplays *everything* and cries at the drop of a hat, usually out of true hurt feelings, but sometimes just to 'play' us. Anyway, his lips get chapped easily so a couple of weeks ago I bought him a strawberry flavored Carmex. He was happy with it and kept it in his pocket, etc. Well, tonight he was putting water on his lips. I asked him what he was doing and he said his lips burned and he was rinsing them. I asked him where his lip stuff was and he said it was in his room but he didn't like it because it burns. I explained to him that the burning/coolness/tingling that he feels when he puts it on is just the medicine working and that if he didn't use it his lips would get worse and would keep burning. I kind of forgot about it and was in my bedroom on the phone. He came in my room looking somewhat shocked, carrying the Carmex, with his eyes about to tear up. He said, while pointing to text, "Mommy, have you read this?"

Keep Out of Reach of Children

Oh my gosh, I about died laughing. I guess he thought at that point that I was trying to poison him. LOL The more I laughed the more hurt he looked. Then he knew I thought he was cute (I could see it in his eyes) and I told him it was okay and sent him back to bed. Oh my gosh, it was so funny! That's my Carter.

Tampa

We went to Tampa to visit mom and dad for Thanksgiving and had a wonderful time! We wish they lived closer, but it sure is nice to visit the beach. :) Mom and Dad rented a hotel room right on the bay for me and Charles. It was awesome! We had a dock right out our back door that Charles and the kids fished off of. They caught 3 catfish I think. Daddy took the boys to the Aquarium one day, so that was a TON of fun for them. Charles and I got to go out by ourselves one night, which was awesome. It was a great trip! The only drawback was that we drove overnight to get there AND to come home. That was no fun for Charles, but it had to be done. I hope all of you had a fantastic Thanksgiving holiday!

King Size Beds

King size beds are the bomb! They are awesome! I can't wait to get myself a King Size Bed!

Charles and I went to Myrtle Beach this past weekend for his Annual Training Conference (ATC). His sister June was gracious enough to keep the boys for us all weekend so that we could go alone. We had a great time. We stayed in a 2 bedroom condo with TWO king size beds, living room, full kitchen, 2 full baths. It was great. Friday we both had classes to attend. Mine were optional, but I went anyway and bored myself to death. I enjoy being tortured apparently. Saturday I opted to stay at the house while Charles went to classes. Ahhhh....I slept late, then did my nails out on the screened in balcony overlooking the lake. After that I lounged while watching Snapped on Oxygen and college football. It doesn't get any better than that. Charles got released at 2:00 and we went to a late lunch at Red Lobster. Mmmmmmm. Saturday night was our formal dinner and awards ceremony. YAWN! It was fun to get dressed up, but the banquet and speaker are just BORING! Oh well. Sunday Charles and I played hangman while NOT listening to the classes on suicide prevention and domestic violence. After we were released we went to lunch then headed to pick up the boys.

The boys had a BLAST at Aunt June's house over the weekend. Even Carter didn't miss me. *sniff sniff* J/K I'm glad they had fun. They played video games with their cousins all weekend and pretty much didn't sleep. LOL

Now we're back to normal. They're in school and I'm recovering from being gone for 3 days. We're leaving Wednesday to go to Tampa for Thanksgiving with mom and dad. We all can't wait for that trip. We love visiting mom and dad. They even rented us a hotel ON the beach that Charles and I will get to stay at alone for at least 1 or 2 of the nights. ;) We're just getting all kinds of couple time. It's great! We'll be home for 2.5 weeks before we leave again to go to Gatlinburg for a long weekend with extended family. That is another trip that we're very excited about! We rent a chalet for the weekend with my aunt and her 2 adult daughters and their families. And this year there is a brand new baby to love on while there. Can't wait!! Then Christmas is here. Busy busy busy. *Hopefully* Charles will get to live with us again at some point during that time period. They told him March while we were at ATC, but he's going to try to make it happen NOW. He was supposed to be in NC for 12 months. Well, he left last year the Monday after Thanksgiving, so his 12 months are up. Now they want to extend it 4 months. That does NOT work for me! So, wish us luck there.
